One of our biggest fears when we surrender to our truest understanding of our spiritual gifts and when we have a more expanded theology than most of those around us is that this will cause separation from God because of "lack of obedience" or being "wayward."
As someone who has had to sort our those same voices in my head, I can tell you that there are Christian traditions, little known archetypes within our faith, and great saints of old who themselves would not at all feel aligned with the Western church and would have felt confusion and suffocation from many of the rigid dogmas that are now held. There are also archetypes, myth, and story wholly outside of our traditional faith, but which can add rich facets of understanding to our path, and it's ok to leverage those as well as we seek to define our identity within our spiritual life.
Whether you decide to stay within your faith community or to create a hermitage of sacred space for yourself outside of it--because both are valid options--you are still connected to our God and His plan for your life...especially if this type of exploration is revealing a deeper relationship with God and a greater understanding of who you are made to be, and especially if the Spirit has led you to this desert place.

I am a seer, a musician, and a tender of the body-temple. Like Deborah of old, I sit under my own “palm tree” — the open prairie — listening for the still small voice and the rhythms of Creation. I have learned how to carry the lineage of the rememberers: women who have always walked the edges, hearing God directly, working with plants as sacred allies, and refusing to be fully tamed by religious systems or cultural boxes.
From a young age, I have been guiding people on their spiritual path, often woven throughout other aspects of my work. Whether it's been in the vocal studio as a professor, within the context of my apprenticeships, doing healing sound work, leading worship, or being asked to provide wise counsel, my desire has always been for people to feel that connection they already have with God and allow that to deepen. One of my particular skills is being able to see the particular strengths of an individual and draw those out. These are usually parts of ourselves that we are most scared to be seen in, and are often simultaneously the areas where we may be called. This emergence is something I love to facilitate. I help you see who you are so you can really own and become that thing.
The one consistent feedback I have been given about myself and my work over my life is that my spirituality and faith walk are very grounded. I don't believe you have to lose your faith because of an expanded theology or because you don't want to do church the way it is done now. But that doesn't mean that your relationship with God is forfeit--in fact, it can mean a deepening and bring back joy to this most important part of your life.
One of my undergraduate degrees is in Bible, and the study of the scriptures, spirituality, comparative religion, and direct revelation of God through Nature have been major areas ongoing interest that have become interwoven within my work. And as I have moved from participation in what we call the church tradition the west into more of a feral spirituality that is still tethered to the person of Jesus has been a ride of a lifetime. Models for this transition have been few and far between as so much of what we see is angry deconstruction rather than a connection to mystical Christian traditions that have been nearly lost. Reclaiming these has also allowed me to own my wellness in deeper ways as herbalism and aromatherapy have become part of my devotional & wellness practices.
Married, childless, and long-colored outside the expected lines, I bridge ancient plant wisdom with modern understanding of the body’s circadian and quantum realities in this wild time in which we see the merging of spiritual understandings and cutting edge science. I am not here to offer quick fixes or performative wellness. I am here to transmit what I receive in solitude and nature — devotional practices, herbal allies, sound, and seasonal rhythms that honor the temple you’ve been given and the Divine who has given us these gifts. I am hear to share what it's been like to really call myself a healer and a seer out loud and fully embody those gifts--and help you do the same with yours.
